Anna, Grandmother of Jesus
Welcome, Angels!
I’m about five chapters into Anna, Grandmother of Jesus, and something that caught my attention is the use of the terms: The Cult of Isis and The Sex Magic of Horus. These are phrases also used in The Magdalen Manuscript. So, I became curious about where these particular terms came from.
From what I’ve researched, the concepts of "sex magic of Isis" and "alchemy of Horus" are rooted in ancient Egyptian spiritual practices, but they’ve become more modern interpretations, symbolic representations of these deities’ transformative powers. These terms weren’t necessarily used verbatim in ancient texts, but the themes associated with Isis and Horus, (spiritual rebirth, empowerment, and energy) are definitely present.
And if you’ve participated in any of my recent classes or retreats, you’ve done the Breath Alchemy Meditations from The Magdalen Manuscript to activate your kundalini/sekham.
However, Anna was published before The Magdalen Manuscript, which is fascinating to me. And I think we will read The Magdalen Manuscript next. That could be a perfect follow-up for us to dive deeper together.
One thing that stands out in Anna’s story is her claim that she lived for hundreds of years. She attributes this to the practices she followed to maintain her vitality and connection to the divine. From what I’ve gathered so far, these practices include energy work, sacred rituals, and spiritual alignment with the natural cycles of life. She lived in harmony with these forces, tapping into sacred knowledge passed down through generations. However, I haven’t yet encountered any specific practices related to this longevity.
I’m looking.
Because I want to know more! I wonder if this will lead us into new meditations to age backwards.
I also want to hear your thoughts: do you think Anna lived for 600 years? Or is this a metaphor for something deeper?
Comment below and I will continue my thoughts as well.
Love, Kimber
